So, I (evidently) haven't had a lot of things to say in here for a while now. Life is busy, which is why not a lot of writing has been happening over the past couple of months. This, among other things, is why I've decided to do something new here, namely blog about TV shows that I watch. (It's not entirely new in that I've had a post or two about TV things before, but I want to do it on more of a regular basis.) It's what I do a lot of the time anyway, and there isn't really a reason why I should bother only people close to me with my ramblings.
Obviously, this means there will be spoilers. If it's anything huge, I'll put a special note there, but if it isn't, I'll expect that anyone looking at posts about TV shows is aware of the possibility of spoilers.
So here are a couple of brief notes. I'm not all up to date with this week's episodes yet, so I'll post more as I watch more.
HIMYM - Ted boinked that pretend-chubby girl from Pretty Little Liars (you should watch the flashbacks for that show some time. The way they try to make her look big is hilarious). She turned out to be Barney's half sister! EEEK! Of all the women in all the world... Of course I've never been to The City, so I don't know if 20-y-o's are really that crazy there, but then again of course HIMYM likes to exaggerate, and it was pretty funny. The whole point (in the long run) of that episode was, of course, Barney's and Robin's individual personal growth leading into happy couple times. Barney is over one-night-stands and Robin is over ... what can maybe be called the female equivalent of that, namely favours being paid to her because of her looks. So right now, everything for them is pretty peachy. I wonder whether they'll go through with the wedding in the end, since we already saw both of them panicking.
New Girl - Has anyone else noticed that Nick has been calling Jess "Jessica" a lot lately? I wonder what's up with that. I mean, clearly something is going on there and they're setting up a closer relationship, but why is he calling her by her full name? Does he somehow take her more seriously? She's not making taking her seriously very easy...
That student of Jess's was fairly creepy until the end, though I have to admit that his art was pretty cool... To be fair, did anybody really believe that they'd put a creepy serial killer type of person into New Girl? As this wasn't any kind of series finale, they had to resolve it in some hilariously quirky way. I mean, it's not like anyone watches New Girl for the suspense anyway.
The only thing in this ep that really shocked me were Schmitt's shaved off eyebrows. AEEEK that guy goes to extremes!
And poor Cece, being left out of the whole pogo thing.
Okay, up next is probably Once Upon A Time. I'm dying to see more of Mulan. After last week's ep, where we saw more of her together with Belle, it's pretty clear that she has a girl-type... I wonder if that's being done intentionally.
